Day 1

Itinerary: Kranj, Bled, Peričnik waterfall, Kranjska gora.

The first day will start with a visit to the capital of the Gorenjska region - Kranj, which is crossed by the Kokra river canyon, the only one of this kind in Europe. After Kranj we will visit Lake Bled, which is considered to be one of the most beautiful attractions in the world because of its appearance. We will admire the island in the middle of the lake, which we will reach by the traditional Pletna boat, and we will also explore the mighty castle that was built atop a cliff that rises above the lake. The road will then lead us to Mojstrana, where we will experience the Peričnik waterfall, which is 52 meters high. We will then continue our trip and reach Kranjska gora, one of the most popular ski resorts in Slovenia. There, besides a small village, we will also visit the source of the Sava River - Zelenci and the lake Jasna.

Day 2

Itinerary: Vršič Pass, Bovec, Napoleon's bridge, Kozjak Waterfall, Tolmin gorges, Štanjel.

We will start the second day by driving up and reaching the Vršič Pass, where we will initially stop and admire the Russian Chapel. This chapel was build by Russian soldiers in memory of their fellows who died due to an avalanche during the construction of the road over the Vršič Pass. On the top of Vršič we will admire the view of the surrounding mountains and the Heathen Maiden - a rock formation that resembles a female face. We will continue our trip and reach Bovec, where we will admire the Virje waterfall as well as the unique river Soča, which is known for its astonishing turquoise-green color. We will then drive to Kobarid, where we will admire the Napoleon's bridge and the Kozjak Waterfall. We will observe the wonders of nature also with a walk through the mighty Tolmin gorges, formed by the Tolminka River. We will end the day with a visit to the picturesque village Šmartno in the wine-growing region of Goriška Brda, which is also often known as the "Slovenian Tuscany".

Day 3

Itinerary: Solkan Bridge, Vipavski Križ, Štanjel, Lipica Stud Farm, Trieste.

We will start the third day by visiting the Solkan Bridge, which is considered to be the largest stone bridge in the world. After visiting the bridge, we will reach Vipavski Križ and Štanjel, which are two of the most beautiful Slovenian settlements because of their narrow streets, stone houses and architecture. After visiting Štanjel, we will head to the Lipica Stud Farm. Here, surrounded by gorgeous nature, it is possible to observe a very rare horse breed – the Lipizzaner. The road will then lead us to the famous Italian port of Trieste, which was once a part of the territory of Slovenia. Today, Trieste is an important cultural center with many attractions - among other things, the city boast also the ruins of a Roman theater.

Day 4

Itinerary: Piran, Portorož, Sečovlje salt-pans, Pomjan, Hrastovlje, Socerb Castle.

We will start the fourth day with a stroll through the beautiful medieval town of Piran, which is known as the beauty of the Mediterranean for its architectural wealth and its proximity to the sea. We will then visit one of the nicest Slovenian coastal towns - Portorož. After Portorož we will visit the Sečovlje salt-pans, which are now preserved landscape parks - we will observe the traditional procedure of salt-making and enjoy the surrounding countryside. The road will later take us to the vineyards where we will have the possibility to taste various local specialties and some of the best Slovenian wines. At the end of the day, we will also visit the Holy Trinity Church in Hrastovlje, which was built in the 13th century. The church is famous for its Glagolitic inscriptions and frescoes from the 15th century, among these there are scenes of Christ's suffering, the expulsion of Adam and Eve from Paradise and the dance of death, which is definitely the most famous work in the church. We will end our day with a visit to the mighty Socerb Castle, which is located on a rocky cliff.

Day 5

Itinerary: Postojna cave, Predjama Castle, Bistra Castle, Ljubljana.

We will start the fifth day with a visit to the Postojna cave. Here, a “cave train” runs through one of the most beautiful and famous caves in the world. After the cave, we will visit the impressive and magnificent Predjama Castle, which is built into a rock in front of a cave hall that is connected with a cave system. A visit to the Bistra Castle will follow, which is also one of the four Carthusian monasteries in Slovenia. We will end the day by visiting the popular Ljubljana, the capital city of Slovenia, which is mostly famous for its medieval castle, the bridges and the river that runs through the city.
