We will begin our excursion in Kamnik, located in the heart of the Kamnik-Savinja Alps, making it one of the most beautiful medieval towns in Slovenia. This tranquil and old-fashioned town, nestled beneath the massive Kamnik-Savinja Alps, is one of the oldest historical cities in Slovenia. Not far from Kamnik, we will take a cable car ride to the unique Velika planina. Velika planina, a highland region in Slovenia, is renowned for its breathtaking natural beauty and panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. Indigenous mountain cows add a picturesque touch to the landscape, enhancing the experience for visitors. The area is dotted with numerous shepherd's huts and mountain cottages, providing tourists with a place to rest and savor local dishes. Combined with preserved traditional culture and the hospitality of the local population, Velika planina represents an attractive destination throughout all seasons.
