Day 1
Itinerary: Kranj, Lake Bled, Peričnik waterfall, Kranjska gora.
The first day will start with a visit to the capital of the Gorenjska region - Kranj, which is crossed by the Kokra river canyon, the only one of this kind in Europe. After Kranj we will visit Lake Bled, which is considered to be one of the most beautiful attractions in the world because of its appearance. We will admire the island in the middle of the lake, which we will reach by the traditional Pletna boat, and we will also explore the mighty castle that was built atop a cliff that rises above the lake. The road will then lead us to Mojstrana, where we will experience the Peričnik waterfall, which is 52 meters high. We will then continue our trip and reach Kranjska gora, one of the most popular ski resorts in Slovenia. There, besides a small village, we will also visit the source of the Sava River - Zelenci and the lake Jasna.
Day 2
Itinerary: Vršič Pass, Bovec, Napoleon's bridge, Kozjak Waterfall, Tolmin gorges, Štanjel.
We will start the second day by driving up and reaching the Vršič Pass, where we will initially stop and admire the Russian Chapel. This chapel was build by Russian soldiers in memory of their fellows who died due to an avalanche during the construction of the road over the Vršič Pass. On the top of Vršič we will admire the view of the surrounding mountains and the Heathen Maiden - a rock formation that resembles a female face. We will continue our trip and reach Bovec, where we will admire the Virje waterfall as well as the unique river Soča, which is known for its astonishing turquoise-green color. Later we will drive to Kobarid, where we will admire the Napoleon's bridge and the Kozjak Waterfall. We will observe the wonders of nature also with a walk through the mighty Tolmin gorges, formed by the Tolminka River. We will end the day with a visit to the picturesque karst settlement of Štanjel, which is one of the most beautiful Slovenian settlements because of its narrow streets, stone houses and architecture.
Day 3
Itinerary: Predjama Castle, Postojna cave, Ljubljana.
We will start the third day by visiting the Predjama castle, which is built into a rock in front of a cave hall that is connected with a mighty, world-famous cave system. After visiting the castle, we will reach the Postojna cave. Here, a “cave train” runs through one of the most beautiful and famous karst caves in the world. We will end the day by visiting the popular Ljubljana, the capital city of Slovenia, which is mostly famous for its medieval castle, the bridges and the river that runs through the city.
