The trip will begin with a visit to the picturesque Celje Castle, which stands on a hill and offers an amazing view on the surrounding river Savinja and the town of Celje. Explore the castle and let the flow of history carry you through the story of Veronica and Frederik, a legend still popular today among the locals. After visiting the castle, we will admire one of the four and, according to many, the most beautiful Carthusian monastery in Slovenia, which is located in a remote and narrow valley. We will then continue our trip and reach the second largest city in Slovenia. Maribor boasts the oldest vine in the world, which is more than 400 years old. After strolling through this medieval city and its picturesque streets, squares and paths along the Drava River, we will drive to the settlement of Špičnik. Here, we will enjoy the view across the vineyards and the unique heart-shaped road that loops around them.
