The old town and the importance of cultural heritage: colorful wonders embraced by the Slovenian Alps

Kamnik is one of the most beautiful medieval towns in Slovenia due to its location in the heart of the Kamnik-Savinja Alps. We will stroll through Kamnik’s old town and the historically important main street as well as visit the Little Castle, which is important for its mythology. We will drive to the source of Kamniška Bistrica and its crystal clear water. The bravest ones will have the possibility to see the gorge Predaselj, where you will be able to admire this masterpiece of nature. Not far from Kamnik, we will take the cable car to the unique Velika planina (Big Pasture Plateau), where it will be possible to taste traditional Slovenian dishes and observe a typical Slovenian pastoral settlement. In addition, you will have the opportunity to visit the Preskar Museum and experience the importance of Slovenian cultural heritage.
